Asante Kotoko head coach Prosper Narteh Ogum has expressed his team’s readiness for their much-anticipated showdown with Bibiani Gold Stars in the Ghana Premier League.
The Porcupine Warriors are set to host GoldStars on matchday 14 of the league at the Baba Yara Stadium on Friday, December 27, 2024. While acknowledging the quality of their opponents, Coach Ogum remains confident his side is well-prepared for the encounter.
"GoldStars is a big team with great players and one of the most respected coaches in Frimpong Manso, whom I admire a lot. He respects me, and I equally respect him," Ogum said.
He added: "It’s going to be a tactical game with a lot of aggression. Both sides will want to win, so the intensity will be high. But we’re ready. Our focus is on structuring our training program to ensure we are fully prepared."
Asante Kotoko heads into the game in fifth place on the league table with 24 points from 13 matches. Meanwhile, Bibiani GoldStars sit second with 27 points, making this clash pivotal in the race for the league’s top spots.
