Techiman Eleven Wonders have released a statement to apologize to all stakeholders of the club for their failure and inability to secure qualification back to the Ghana Premier League.
This was after losing 7-6 on penalties to Bofoakwa Tano, after a 1-1 stalemate last Tuesday in the playoff of zone I of the national first division championship.
Bofo opened the scoring account in less than ten minutes from kickoff through Leslie Aryeetey who scored from a spot-kick but the lead was cancelled out just two minutes from the break thanks to a header from Zackaria Osman.
There was no goal produced in the game after extra time and headed to penalties which was a marathon one but unfortunately missed narrowly to the 'Esuo Eyeri P3br3' side.
In a statement on their official Facebook page, the club have pleaded with the people of Techiman, their supporters and everyone for the loss and expressed gratitude for their unending support right from day one of the 2022/23 season.
"We are very sorry to all our stakeholders especially our teeming supporters, the people of Techiman and the entire people of Bono East for the disappointment.
"That is how at times the game goes. We are thankful for your support and we will fight back."
The 'Sure Wonders' will hope to right all wrongs to bounce back stronger next season. The last appearance in the topflight was in the 2020/21 season.
