Asante Kotoko's head coach, Prosper Narteh Ogum, has acknowledged that his team enters the upcoming match against Samartex FC as the underdogs.
In the Week 27 fixture of the ongoing Ghana Premier League season, the Porcupine Warriors are set to face Samartex FC this weekend.
Speaking to Opemsuo Radio in anticipation of the match, Coach Prosper Narteh Ogum recognized Samartex FC as the favored team to win the contest.
"Samartex FC needs to be commended for their consistency in performance. They have performed admirably. Comparatively, our performance at Kotoko has not been as strong, evident from our position on the league table," Coach Prosper Narteh Ogum remarked.
Acknowledging their underdog status, Ogum expressed optimism about his team's ability to secure victory, emphasizing their dedication to improving their performance.
"We are going into this game as underdogs. If you look at our recent results, it's clear that Samartex stands as the favorite. As a team, we are aware of this and we are working hard to get the results we are looking for. We are working on all aspects of the game to ensure we can match them boot for boot," he added.
The match between Asante Kotoko and Samartex FC is scheduled to take place on Sunday, April 21, at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
