Hearts of Oak Head Coach Aboubakar Ouattara praised his players’ dedication and teamwork following their impressive 2-0 victory over Medeama SC on Friday night.
Ouattara attributed the win, which boosts Hearts of Oak in the Ghana Premier League standings, to the relentless efforts and discipline displayed by his squad.
Speaking after the match in Tarkwa, Ouattara highlighted how a blend of hard work, unity, and focus has been instrumental in the Phobians' recent successes. “We won because of our hard work," Ouattara said. "We will keep working hard, and for the next match, we’ll put in even more effort. Every game, we aim to win, and when we fall short, we return to the training ground to improve."
In the clash at the TnA Stadium, a competitive first half saw both teams battle to a scoreless draw. However, Hearts of Oak ramped up the intensity after the break, with Kwabena Boateng opening the scoring in the 63rd minute. Mawuli Wayo then doubled the lead in the 87th, sealing three valuable points for the visitors.
This win propels Hearts further up the league table and signals their intentions to contend strongly for the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League title.
