For Maxwell Konadu, Legon Cities deserved their win against Hearts of Oak, However, Kofi Kordzi's goal in the waning minutes of the first half gave Cities the victory.
In an interview with 'StarTimes Ghana', the former Asante Kotoko gaffer reflected on the terrific saves Richard Atta made to deny him on several occasions. The match would have bore fruit and produced a lot of goals had they gone in.

"When the chances come your way and you fail to utilise them one would go against you and you will concede. But having said that I believe to be fair today we deserved the win. We also had some decent chances that we failed to utilize, so I believe it's a true reflection of the game."
The victore plunged Legon Cities to the eleventh spot with 43 points on the summit with two matches to bring season to a closure while Hearts of Oak tyrannized downwards to the 8th position on 45 points.
