Asante Kotoko deputy gaffer, Abdulai Gazale has admitted they wasn't at their best, reason they were handed their first season loss last Thursday against Bechem United

The Porcupine Warriors succumbed to a very painful 2-0 defeat to the Hunters in an outstanding week 2 tie at the Nana Fosu Gyeabour Park.

Their head coach Seydou Zerbo got petrified with the performance of the referee and exhibited his displeasure towards him after the game.

In a post-game interview with StarTimes, Gazale believes the penalty call against them wasn't a foul but admitted they weren't at their best technically.

"Well actually, I must say that today our players couldn't get our pattern well. Technically, we were unable to keep the ball on the ground and do our normal pattern but we were rather playing to suit the home team and I think that really affected us. When commit more mistakes, you lose, we didn't live up to expectation."

"The first goal we all know what happened, it wasn't a foul but the decision makers on the pitch took a penalty but we have nothing to say than to accept it."

Kotoko's quest to move to the top of the league couldn't hold and will host Samartex FC in Kumasi this weekend.
