Medeama SC gaffer, Ibrahim Arnyas Tanko has expressed optimism of a season turnaround despite Medeama SC’s 2-1 defeat to Dreams FC in their Ghana Premier League round 26 clash.

The result extends Medeama’s poor run to six matches without a win in the league, with three defeats and three draws during that period.

Having spent months at the top of the table, the Mauves and Yellows have now lost their position and trail new leaders Bibiani GoldStars by two points following the defeat.

In a post-match presser, the ex- Dortmund star dmitted his side had a slow start but believes they improved as the game progressed.

“We started very slowly, and Dreams FC were the better side in the opening 20 minutes. However, we gradually found our rhythm and grew into the game,” he said.

“In the second half, we dominated play and scored a beautiful goal, but unfortunately time was not on our side, and we ended up losing,” he added.

The Medeama coach has now shifted focus to the upcoming fixtures as they aim to bounce back.

“Now our focus shifts to the next game. We must keep working hard and ensure we secure maximum points. With eight matches remaining, we will prepare thoroughly and approach each one with determination,” he said.

Medeama SC will be hoping to end their winless run and return on winning ways when they host Eleven Wonders in their next league fixture.
