Nations FC head coach Kassim Ocansey Mingle has urged caution as his side prepares to face reigning champions FC Samartex in their Ghana Premier League Week 3 encounter at the Dr. Kwame Kyei Sports Complex.

Despite Samartex’s winless start to the 2025/26 campaign, Mingle refused to take the Timber Giants lightly, stressing the danger posed by a team desperate to bounce back.

“They haven’t won in their first two matches, so they’ll be coming like wounded tigers,” Mingle said.

The Nations FC boss acknowledged the pedigree of the champions and insisted the match will be anything but straightforward.

“It is not going to be easy, but we’ll have to work for it. It’s a very difficult game,” he added.

Rather than focusing on Samartex’s early struggles, Mingle highlighted the importance of his own team’s preparation and commitment.

“We also have to double our effort to secure all three points,” he stressed, signalling that Nations FC will need to produce their best performance to overcome the title holders.

The clash promises a fascinating battle between a Samartex side seeking their first win of the season and a Nations FC outfit eager to make a statement against the league champions.
