Asante Kotoko forward Baba Yahaya is optimistic that the club’s pre-season preparations will yield positive results for the 2024/25 season.

The most notable pre-season match for Kotoko so far was a 2-1 loss to Medeama in a friendly marking the inauguration of the newly renovated TNA Sports Stadium. The team is currently competing in the GHALCA 2024 Tournament, where they earned a 1-0 win over Bibiani Gold Stars in their opening game.

Yahaya highlighted that while it is early in the pre-season, the training sessions are showing encouraging signs. He stressed the need for measured expectations as the team continues to build up.

“We can’t set our expectations too high just yet. We are just starting pre-season, and the training has been very positive so far,” Yahaya said.

He added, “We hope that the hard work and the strategies our coaches are implementing will reflect in our performances throughout the upcoming season.”

Asante Kotoko will begin their Ghana Premier League campaign with an away match against Karela United.
