The Miners were dragged into a five-goal thriller at Dun's Park last Monday but managed to sail through victors with a 3-2 scoreline in the last fixture of GPL match-week 25.
The game started on a higher note with all five goals recorded at half time after the first three had already been scored after 16 minutes.
Abednego Tetteh notched a brace coupled with another from Gyamfi Kamara to seal the win for the host however, Ebenezer Amegah and Eric Osei Bonsu got the two consolation for the Royals.
Speaking after the game, the ex- Black Stars assistant gaffer states his team played to his satisfaction but were just not lucky but is very optimistic they will survive relegation.
"Proud of the performance of my boys today. They did well. This game was keenly contested. We gave our all but wasn’t enough sadly. We will keep fighting to escape relegation."
Legon Cities are still I'm the relegation zone with 28 points on the 17th spot and will host Kotoku Royals in the next round of matches
