Didi Dramani has urged his players to improve their decision-making despite Accra Hearts of Oak securing a narrow 1-0 victory over Nations FC in the Ghana Premier League.

The Phobians earned all three points at the Dr Kwame Kyei Sports Complex thanks to an 11th-minute goal from Mawuli Wayo, who finished off a well-placed pass from Hussein. After the early breakthrough, Hearts controlled large portions of the game but were forced to remain disciplined defensively to protect their slender lead.

Nations FC responded strongly after conceding, pushing numbers forward in search of an equaliser. However, Hearts’ defensive structure held firm, limiting clear scoring opportunities and seeing out the win.

Speaking after the match, Dramani said his side largely executed the game plan but stressed that key decisions in certain moments still need improvement.

“The boys did exactly what we expected in the game, but there’s still a lot of work to do in terms of decision-making and dealing with the right moments,” he said.

He also noted that the match was always expected to be challenging given Nations FC’s position near the relegation zone and their urgency for points.

The result strengthens Hearts of Oak’s position in the top three as they continue their push towards the end of the season, while Nations FC remain under pressure in their fight for survival.
