Asante Kotoko head coach Karim Zito has insisted that his side will treat Sunday’s clash against Hohoe United with full seriousness, making it clear that the Porcupine Warriors will not underrate any opponent in the league.
Kotoko head into the fixture after a mixed run—three draws, one win, and one defeat in their last five matches—but Zito believes their approach and mentality remain firm, especially against a newly promoted side.
“It's normal with any club that enters the league and faces Kotoko,” he told Asante Kotoko TV. “We never underrate anybody. We’re also playing on an unfamiliar pitch, an AstroTurf, which we’re not used to—but it doesn’t matter. We played on one in Kwara and we won.”
“We are not underrating them at all. We are going all out for the win.”
Kotoko sit 5th on the league table with 21 points after 12 matches and will be aiming to strengthen their position when they visit the Hohoe Sports Stadium on Sunday.
