Accra Hearts of Oak board member, Dr. Nyaho Nyaho-Tamakloe has stated that the club is yet to make a decision on the future of Slavko Matic after a poor performance in the ongoing Ghana Premier League.
The Serbian gaffer was chased out of the club's training grounds, Pobiman training complex, ahead of their match-week 20 game against Asante Kotoko.
The irate supporters have called on the leadership of Hearts of Oak to part ways with Slavko Matic after his absence from the team in a 1-0 win over their bitterest-rival at the Accra Sports Stadium last weekend.
His assistant David Ocloo took charge of Hearts of Oak and led them to record a slim victory over Asante Kotoko in a Premier League fixture which also dubbed as 2023 President Cup.
However, Dr. Nyaho Nyaho-Tamakloe has stressed that the Hearts of Oak board directors have not made any decision on the 47-year-old trainer.
“The future of Slavko Matic will be determined by the board," he told Asempa FM.
"I cannot confirm if he is staying or not because we [the board] have not met to make a decision on that.
"If we meet and make a decision on the future of Matic, the fans and the public will be informed.
"For now, the assistant coach, David Ocloo is in charge of the team now," he added
Matic was appointed by Hearts of Oak in October last year as replacement for Samuel Boadu, who was sacked ahead of their CAF Confederation Cup game against AS Bamako.
