Hearts of Oak Board Chairman, Togbe Afede XIV has revealed that they are not in hurry to appoint a new Chief Executive Officer(CEO) and insists that the don't lack in their management.
Hearts of Oak have been without a managing director (MD) or chief executive officer(CEO) since Frederick Moore left his role in 2020.
Hearts of Oak advertised their vacant MD position some months back but are yet to appoint a new face.
2019 GFA Presidential candidate, Amanda Clinton have been reportedly interviewed for the role, with 3Music boss Abubakar Sadiq pulling out of the race to focus on his political ambitions.
Hearts of Oak are in Kumasi to wrap up their pre-season after their GHALCA Top 6 abysmal performance.
Hearts of Oak will travel to face Aduana Stars in their first game of the season this weekend.
Togbe Afede says they have passionate Hearts of Oak management who are competent to oversee the daily administration of the club.
"To support the players and the technical team, we need a strong management and I know you have been very anxious to see us bring in new managers. The good news is that we are working on all front to bring the best that is available," he said.
“I’m sure you saw advertisement for CEO, Commercial Director and others, we are working very hard to strengthen management but let me assure you that the team we have today is not lacking in terms of management.
“When we get the person to appoint as the CEO we will appoint him but we will not rush to take any wrong decisions. We have had CEO’s in the past but they always came to the board for money, you know that and many of them because they could not put in place strategies to raise money they could not come forward with new ideas because those new ideas require money and I can assure you the current management are the most passionate Phobians," he insisted.
