Asante Kotoko’s Communication Director, Samuel Sarfo Duku Esq. understands the club is in a very poor state at the moment and also knows their fans are very furious but has called upon them to rally behind the team especially in this crucial week.

The Porcupine Warriors are already having a very inconsistent run in the league and currently eight points adrift league leaders Medeama SC even though there are more matches left and still stand a chance to emerge champions.

But, their woes was deepen over the weekend after a painful penalty shootouts lost to Aduana FC to exit the MTN FA Cup in the round of 16 stage and this means they could record a trophyless campaign if they don’t up the ante.

The defeat has even resulted into the resignation of their head Abdul Karim Zito - signifying the shambles the team has been through recently and assistant Prince Osei will takeover for now.

Speaking on Accra-based Angel FM, the renowned legal practitioner has asked all Kotoko supporters to put the defeat behind to come out in numbers this Sunday as he believes their presence will be very malleable and a win against their sworn rivals will help turn their season around.

“Come and let’s beat Hearts of Oak to wipe our tears because we are still the best club in the world”

The team will continue to train throughout to have themselves adequately prepared for the last Super-Clash of the 2025/26 season on Sunday, February 15, at the Baba Yara Stadium.
