National Supporters Chairman of Asante Kotoko SC, Solomon Ofosu Ware has reiterated with so much optimism that, they will prevail against their sworn and eternal rivals Hearts of Oak this weekend despite their recent unimpressive performance.
The Porcupine Warriors are already having a very inconsistent run in the league and are currently eight points adrift league leaders Medeama SC even though there are more matches left and still stand a chance to emerge champions.
But, their woes was deepen over the weekend after a painful penalty shootouts lost to Aduana FC to exit the MTN FA Cup in the round of 16 stage and this means they could record a trophyless campaign if they don’t up the ante.
The defeat has even resulted into the resignation of their head Abdul Karim Zito - signifying the shambles the team has been through recently and assistant Prince Osei will takeover for now.
In an interview on Onua TV in Accra, ‘Chairman Solo’ as he is affectionately known, says they will silence their rivals and wouldn’t even need a substantive coach to accomplish that
“We can play Hearts of Oak and will beat them on Sunday even when we don’t have a coach.”
The team will continue to train throughout to have themselves adequately prepared for the last Super-Clash of the 2025/26 season on Sunday, February 15, at the Baba Yara Stadium.
