Bashir Hayford has stated that they are planning to maintain their unbeaten streak for some time in the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League season.
Lions are yet to be flip-bounced, after three rounds of games, having racked one win and two draws.
The Kpando based side started off their campaign with a 1-1 draw against Aduana Stars, followed by a 2-0 win over Hearts of Oak. However, on Monday they secured a 2-2 draw against Dream FC in a thrilling matchday three encounter at the Nii Adjei Kraku Sports Complex in Tema New Town.
Speaking after the game against Dreams FC on Monday afternoon, Hayford spoke about the need to hang on and focus on extending their unbeaten run.
“We have played three matches and we have still not lost so I think we are on the right path. I think it’s okay and we have to capitalise on this and move forward. We need to maintain our undefeated status for some time so this is what we are planning to do,” Coach Bashir Hayford told Heart of Lions TV.
Heart of Lions are currently sitting on the 3rd spot on the league log with 5 points.
They will next face Bibiani Goldstars in a matchday four clash at the Kpando Stadium on Sunday, September 29.
