Medeama SC head coach Ibrahim Tanko has commended his players for their emphatic four-goal performance in their MTN FA Cup victory over Rospak SC, noting that the result provides a major confidence boost ahead of their crucial Ghana Premier League clash with Asante Kotoko.
In his post-match reaction, Tanko expressed satisfaction with his team’s approach and execution, highlighting their fast start as the key to the dominant win.
“We started very well, we had a very early goal and that made things easier for us. After the first goal, we kept pushing, and we had four goals by halftime. Overall, I think we fully deserved the win,” he told Medi TV.
Tanko added that the convincing scoreline comes at the perfect time as they shift their focus to the high-profile Week 12 fixture against Asante Kotoko.
“If you score four goals in a game just before facing Asante Kotoko, it definitely gives you confidence. We are going to prepare well for that match.”
Medeama SC will travel to Kumasi to face Asante Kotoko on Sunday, November 30, with kickoff scheduled for 3 pm at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
