The Executive Board Chairman of Hearts of Oak, Togbe Afede XIV is adamant the club will recover from their slow start in the 2023-24 league campaign.

Martin Koopman's side have won just one, lost twice and drew one of their opening four Ghana Premier League fixtures and are already one point adrift of bottom dweller Bechem United following their 0-0 draw with Dreams FC.

Togbe believes that the club will turn things around and bounce back from a start that has been described as "below par."

“Looking at the season we won the double with Coach Samuel Boadu, we didn’t start the season properly; it was a very poor start for the club. But we later recovered, so I’m urging all to be patient; we will recover,” Togbe Afede stated at the club's 5th Annual General Meeting held at the Civil Servant’s Auditorium in Osu, Accra.

Hearts of Oak are hopeful they can rebound and defeat unbeaten Premier League returnees - Heart of Lions in match-week five.
