Bechem United coach,Manuel Coelho Zacarias, is livid about the unfair treatment meted out to his side by the match officials in their MTN FA Cup quarter-final clash against Kumasi Asante Kotoko and says what transpired was a shame.

The Portuguese import trainer believes the match officials on the day were awful in most of their decision in the game he believed his side could have won with ease and has therefore clamoured for a fair treatment in the competition.

Bechem United progressed to the semi-finals of the MTN FA Cup competition after defeating Kumasi Asante Kotoko on penalty shootout that ended 3-2 in favour of them.

However, their manager,Manuel Zacarias, was less impressed about  the victory as he thought the match officials on the day gave his side a raw deal which could have mired their progress into the next stage of the competition.

"There're a lot of talented players in Ghana and that's why i'm working in Ghana.Everybody knows the shame in terms of officiating is not a massive one in Ghana, but about this match; I beg everybody as i wanted fair play and officiating. Everybody knows that what happened in the game today concerning about officiating was a shame.Under normal circumstance,my charges should've won the game with ease by scoring 2,3 or four goals," he said with dejection after the game.

"Though I respect our opponents,Kotoko as they came and defeated us in the league at home by a lone goal.Even though, we had the greatest ball possession of about 65 percent in the game and yet still they took away all the three points in Bechem," he added.

Bechem United will face Wa Rockets in the semi-finals of the 2015/2016 MTN FA Cup competition.
