Asante Kotoko legend Opoku Nti has highlighted the necessity of achieving at least three consecutive victories to rekindle fan enthusiasm for the club.

The former General Manager of the Porcupine Warriors believes that while supporters are deeply devoted, they require tangible results on the pitch to feel motivated to attend matches.

So far this season, Kotoko has played two games in the Ghana Premier League, winning their opener against Karela United but settling for a draw with Young Apostles.

“Wherever you take the club, they will follow the team. What they want is consecutive victories to convince them. Kudos to Asante Kotoko fans,” Nti remarked after the draw against Apostles.

He added, “If the team had won against Young Apostles, the fans would have filled up the Obuasi Len Clay Stadium in their next home match. What the fans don’t want is someone narrating how a good game transpired to them. Asante Kotoko supporters have the club at heart.”

Currently, Asante Kotoko sits sixth in the league standings with four points from two matches, with a crucial encounter against Berekum Chelsea coming up this weekend in match week four.
