Asante Kotoko midfielder Emmanuel Antwi has expressed his discontent with receiving the Man of the Match award following a 1-1 draw against Young Apostles at Obuasi Len Clay Stadium on Sunday, emphasizing that individual accolades mean little without securing three points for the team.
Antwi, who scored the equalizer for the Porcupine Warriors, stated, "Winning Man of the Match means nothing to me when you don't get the three points. I don't go into the game aiming for individual awards; my focus is on helping the team win. It's a bit disappointing, but that's okay."
Young Apostles took the lead in the 51st minute through Daniel Lomotey, but Antwi leveled the score with a long-range effort in the 76th minute.
Despite earning a point, Antwi's frustration highlights the team's desire for better results as they continue their campaign in the Ghana Premier League.
