Striker of Asante Kotoko, Steven Mukwala has disclosed that the face-to-face meeting Otumfuo Osei Tutu II had with the playing body have energized them to win matches.

 


The monarch of the Asante Kingdom, had a crunch meeting with the technical handlers and the players in April after a bad start in the second half of the ongoing Ghana Premier League campaign.



After the meeting, the Porcupine Warriors have recorded three wins and a draw in their last four games played.



Mukwala, however, has given credence to the words of the great King, stating it has revived their performance.

"The motivation and words of wisdom from the King have motivated us a lot," Mukwala told the club website.



"It was a way of reminding everyone how big Asante Kotoko is. That’s the motivation we have right now," he added.



Asante Kotoko are now manning the 10th position on the league standings with 40 points.



The Porcupine Warriors will travel to Berekum to face Chelsea at the Golden City Park in a Matchday 30 fixture on Friday, May 17.
