Ghana Premier League champions, FC Samartex, have announced the acquisition of defensive midfielder Akwasi Sarpong. The 20-year-old talent joins from lower division team Skyy FC and has committed to a three-year contract with the Timber Giants.

Sarpong is the second new addition to Samartex's roster, following the recent unveiling of Isaac Baffoe from Bofoakwa Tano on Monday. His inclusion strengthens the squad as they prepare for the upcoming season and aim to defend their Premier League title.

Currently, FC Samartex is conducting their preseason training at Safari Valley in the Eastern Region. This preparation is in anticipation of their debut in the CAF Champions League, where they have been drawn against Cameroonian club Victoria United FC in the preliminary round.
