Nigeria international Victor Osimhen is reportedly on the verge of completing a mouthwatering switch to Saudi Pro League heavyweights Al Hilal in the ongoing summer transfer window.
The 26-year-old forward, who spent the just-concluded season on loan at Turkish champions Galatasaray, is expected to leave Serie A side Napoli in the coming days.
Despite being linked with top European clubs including Chelsea, Paris Saint-Germain, and Manchester United, Al Hilal has emerged as the frontrunner and is now close to sealing the transfer.
The Saudi outfit is keen to strengthen its squad ahead of the FIFA Club World Cup, which kicks off later this month in the United States.
Osimhen is scheduled to undergo a medical today, a key step toward finalising the move.
Upon completion, he will join Al Hilal officials currently in France for an official unveiling before flying out to Saudi Arabia.
Osimhen was a standout performer at the Turkish outfit, notching up 37 goals in 41 appearances during his loan spell at Galatasaray, underlining the attacking firepower he brings to his prospective new club.
