The Super Eagles of Nigeria have retained their Unity Cup title after defeating Jamaica in a penalty shootout in the finals of the 2025 edition of the tournament.

Nigeria were held to a 2-2 stalemate by the Reggae Boys of Jamaica after regulation time in the final of the 2025 edition held at the Gtech Community Stadium in London.

Nantes FC's Moses Simon opened the scoring for the Super Eagles in the 9th minute before the Jamaicans levelled up three minutes later through Kaheim Dixon.

Eight minutes into the second half, Samuel Chukwueze brilliantly restored the lead for the West African nation, but Renaldo Cephas set up Jon Russell to make it 2-2 for Jamaica in the 63rd minute of the game.

While Jamaica missed one of their four kicks, the Super Eagles converted all their five attempts, with Getafe midfielder Chrisantus Uche scoring the winning spot kick.

The last time the two countries met in the final of the 2004 Unity Cup edition, the Super Eagles triumphed 2-0 over the Jamaicans.

Earlier on Saturday, the Black Stars of Ghana clinched the third-placed play-off after thrashing Trinidad and Tobago 4-0 at the Gtech Community Stadium in London.
