The Ghana Premier League remains one the most competitive and exciting leagues in Africa and world at large.
The league has produced countless number of professional footballers since the late nineties to Emmanuel Essiam of FC Basel and Sporting CP’s youngster Fatawu Issahaku being the latest exports to Europe this season.
Here is Emmanuel Dzigbah, a 15-year-old Ghanaian sensation with Accra Lions football club, who is on record as the youngest player to feature in the 2021/22 season.
The mastery midfielder received his maiden call-up to Accra Lions' first team in match-day-four where he went on to become a regular name on the team sheet of the ‘ Yen Nyinaa Dea’ side.
Dzigbah made his official premier league debut in a game against new Premier League champions and two-time African champions, Kumasi Asante Kotoko at the Baba Yara sports stadium where he was introduced as replacement for Lions' captain Dominic Nsobila in the dying-minutes of the game.
Dzigbah is a current member of the Ghana national under-seventeen squad participating in the ongoing WAFU U-17 championship.
