Head coach of the Blue Samurai, Hajime Moriyasu has applauded the performance of his players against Ghana and has optimistically added that, they are going to edge out any opponent they meet in their subsequent matches.
The Japanese redeemed themselves from a narrow defeat against world giants Brazil to humiliate the Black Stars by a resounding 4-1 at the Noevir Stadium in their opening game of the 2022 Kirin Cup tournament.
Goals from Miki Yamane, Karou Mitoma, Takefusa Kubo and substitute Daizen Maeda ensured the Asian giants run riot over Ghana and cruise into the final.
Speaking after the game, the 53 year old has praised his players for that blistering display and per that, he's confidently added they are going to take off any opponent they will meet going forward.
"The players made good preparations from the match against Brazil that they couldn't lose in a row at home. They proved that they would function as a team even if the players changed."
"No matter who comes out, I will win next time."
Japan will face Tunisia in the final on Tuesday, June 14, 2022.
