Former England and Liverpool forward, Michael Owen has heaped praises on Jordan Ayew following his impact in Ghana's win over South Korea earlier today in the ongoing 2022 FIFA World Cup.
The Taegeuk Warriors succumbed to a very painful 2-3 defeat to Ghana in the second group game at the Education City Stadium- a loss which has thrown their qualification chances in limbo.
Jordan Ayew- who operated on the left side of attack for the Black Stars, was really amazing with his performance most especially his pinpoint in-swingers of which one eventually created Ghana's second goal in the game.
Giving his take on the game, the 2001 Ballon D'or winner was really ecstatic with the performance of the Crystal Palace forward and identified similarities in his crosses today and that of his former England teammate David Beckham.
“Jordan Ayew played like Beckham. That cross and performance from him is simply perfect,” Micheal Owen said on SuperSport.
Ghana is currently second on the Group H log with three points, and will face Uruguay in their final group game on Friday.
