Officials from Newcastle United and Hatayspor FK have been spotted at the forecourt of the State House to pay final respect to Christian Atsu who is finally being laid to rest today.
The former Newcastle United and Chelsea winger died after an earthquake hit Turkey on February 6, 2023, and was later found under his home in southern Turkey.
The football world after Atsu's shocking demise paid him a deserved tribute for his great contribution to the game and humanity.
Some representatives from two of his former clubs Newcastle United and Hatayspor FK were present at his final burial.
Reps from Everton and Hatayspor are all here to mourn with the Twasam family.

Atsu, who also played for AFC Bournemouth and Everton, capped 65 times for Ghana's national team and helped his side reach the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations final.
The late footballer will be laid to rest in his hometown, Dogobome in the Greater Accra Region.
