English League Two club Salford City have signed Sierra Leone international Tyrese Fornah on a season-long loan from Championship side Derby County in the ongoing summer transfer window.
The 24-year-old joins the Peninsula Stadium outfit until the end of the season, having helped the Rams win automatic promotion from League One last season.
After a youth career with Reading and Nottingham Forest, Fornah had loan spells with Casa Pia, Plymouth Argyle, Shrewsbury Town and a return to the Royals before joining Derby County.
“The club’s ambition is to go up, which is exactly my ambition; I think this is a team that’s more than capable of getting promoted," he told the club's official website in an interview.
Fornah, who grew up in England, received his debut call-up to the senior national team of Sierra Leone in November 2023.
