Italian Serie A new campaigners, Como 1907 have officially announced the acquisition of Gambian international Alieu Fadera in the ongoing summer transfer window.
The 22-year-old has joined the Blue and White lads on a four-year contract from Belgian Pro League side KRC Genk.
“Como 1907 is pleased to announce the signing, with a four-year contract, of left-footed striker Alieu Fadera, from the Belgian team Genk,” read the club’s statement.
The Gambian striker expressed his excitement about the move, saying, “I am really happy, Serie A is a very competitive league and I am eager to start this new challenge. I look forward to meeting the comrades and helping the team.”
Como 1907 manager Cesc Fabregas welcomed Fadera’s arrival and highlighted the striker’s potential to bolster their attacking options in the upcoming season.
“He is a very fast player and competent in deep play. His characteristics and qualities perfectly complement our attacking department,” Fabregas said.
