The Black Stars suffered a very painful 3-2 loss to Portugal on Thursday in their opening fixture of the 2022 FIFA World Cup campaign.

The 26 year old lasted 90 minutes in the game and was really solid at the back, fitting in so perfectly in coach Otto Addo's three back system, alongside English-based duo of Mohammed Salisu and Daniel Amartey.

The game was really a tough one with Ghana nearly taking the 2016 European champions by surprise but ended losing in what looked like a very controversial way.

Reacting to the defeat, the RC Strasbourg defender was really grateful with massive support they received and added they still have two matches to prove their worth at the Mundial.

He is expected to make the starting line up again when Ghana face South Korea in their second group game on Monday, November 28, 2022.
