The Black Stars of Ghana have been placed in pot 2 of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations draw scheduled for next month in Côte D'Ivoire.

Ghana has been paired alongside its bitterest rival, Nigeria in the same pot of the draw with Cameroon, Democratic Republic of Congo, Mali and Burkina Faso.

 

The draw for the next edition of the Africa Cup of Nations will be held for the twenty-four (24) participating nations on October 12, 2023 in Abidjan, Côte D'Ivoire.

Host nation, Cote D'Ivoire are in Pot 1 with Morocco, Senegal, Tunisia, Algeria and Egypt who form the first ratings on the latest FIFA World Rankings released earlier today by the world football governing body.

South Africa, Cape Verde, Guinea, Zambia, Equatorial Guinea and Mauritania are in Pot 3 whereas Guinea Bissau, Mozambique, Namibia, Angola, Gambia and Tanzania make up Pot 4.

Coach Chris Hughton's side booked their ticket for the next edition of the tournament after topping Group E of qualification round with 2-1 home win over Central African Republic in the final group fixture at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
