Ghana will battle it out against Central African Republic at the Stade 11 de Novembro in Luanda, in match-day 2 of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.

The Black Stars will look to preserve their perfect start and also maintain their top spot in Group E whiles the Wild Beasts will hope to redeem themselves with nothing but a win this time to boost their chances of qualification. 

The four time champions started off the campaign with an explosive start after ruthlessly thumping on Madagascar by 3-0 last Wednesday at the Cape Coast Stadium.

Meanwhile, Central African Republic also gave away Samuel Nlend first half lead to succumb to a very painful 2-1 defeat to Angola in their capital, Luanda during the midweek.
 
They took the lead in as early as 32 minutes from kickoff but conceded two heartbreaking goals in the space of four minutes in the second half- a deficit they were unable to overturn till full time.
 
TEAM NEWS 
 
The Black Stars touched down in Angola on the early hours of Saturday and held their mandatory training session and also the pre match conference in the evening.
 
Coach Otto Addo could parade only 25 players for this game having missed the service of forward Antoine Semenyo and Celta Vigo defender Joseph Aidoo, all due to injuries.
 
Also, goalkeeper Richard Ofori was also left home because of a hamstring injury with his position taken by Kotoko goalie Ibrahim Danlad.
 
The only two home-based players in the initial list, Daniel Afriyie Barnieh and Augustine Okrah have all been left home with the reason still unknown but defender Dennis Korsah was handed a late call up to join the team.
 
Already, deputy skipper Thomas Partey and center back Alexander Djiku are also out of the game due to injury and personal reasons respectively.
