Former Black Galaxies head coach Annor Walker has expressed confidence in Ghana's ability to secure victory over Nigeria in the first leg of the 2024 CHAN Qualifiers at the Accra Sports Stadium.
The home-based national team will host their Nigerian counterparts on Sunday, December 22, 2024, in the highly anticipated playoff match.
Walker, who guided the Black Galaxies to triumph over Nigeria in the 2022 CHAN playoffs, is optimistic that current coach Mas-Ud Didi Dramani will replicate the feat.
“What they are doing at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence shows they are well-prepared and capable of winning at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday,” Walker told Asempa FM.
“I know that Didi Dramani will win the first leg before they go to Nigeria for the reverse fixture.”
The Black Galaxies are set to face the home-based Super Eagles in Accra this weekend, with the return leg scheduled for a week later in Nigeria.
The winner of the two-legged tie will secure a spot in the CHAN tournament, which will be hosted in East Africa next year.
