The Black Queens of Ghana have been drawn in Group C in the 2024 Women's Africa Cup of Nations which will be held in Morocco in the summer of next year.
The draw was held earlier this evening at the Mohammed VI Technical Center in Salé, in the host country, Morocco, hosted by award-winning Ghanaian journalist Juliet Bawuah.
The Ghana senior women national team will be returning to the continental showpiece for the first time since 2018 after enjoying an impressive qualifying series where they climaxed with a 3-2 on aggregate win over Namibia in December last year to secure qualification.
The Queens have been drawn in Group C together with reigning African champions South Africa, Mali and Tanzania.
Coach Nora Hauptle and her girls last regrouped in July to take on Nadeshiko Japan in an international friendly and will be resuming somewhere next year again to prepare for the competition.
The 2024 Women's Africa Cup of Nations will take place between July 5-26, 2025.
