The Ghana senior women national team will start off their 2024 Women Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers this afternoon against the She-Amavubi of Rwanda and coach Nora Hauptle says her girls are ready and poised for nothing but a win in the game.
The Ghana senior women national team had a short preparations towards the game coming up and arrived in Kigali on Sunday in order to acclimatize quickly for the epic clash.
The last time the Black Queens grouped together was against Guinea in the 2024 Olympic Games qualifiers, where they edged them with a 7-0 on aggregate victory to cruise into next round; claiming a 3-0 win in Conakry before winning 4-0 in the return fixture in Accra.
Nora Hauptle has been really impressive since taking over the job, having won all five matches played so far, with the team scoring 14 goals and conceded none within the process.
Ahead of the game, the Swiss gaffer is very optimistic of a win and added they are very focused and fully prepared for the crunchy clash.
"Tomorrow, we need to be smart in our decision, who we bring on the pitch. It's a new regulation so we only allowed to bring 18 players. We're pretty convinced we going to win the game tomorrow with the good move you saw behind and we have a good focus too."
The game is slated for 3:00pm this afternoon at the Kigali Pele Stadium.
