Coach of the Black Stars Otto Addo says the team will not underestimate Angola in the forthcoming 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
The team is currently preparing for their first qualifying game against Angola on Thursday, September 5, 2024.
“It is also very important for the spectators that we do not underestimate our opponents. Angola has a very strong team,” Addo told Max TV.
“They have players in La Liga, players in England's Champions League, players in Portugal's top division, and in France.
“So they are very strong. We need to be fully aware not to underestimate them. It is crucial for us to stick to our style of play. We also need to be particularly compact defensively to prevent them from scoring.”
After their game against the Palancas Negras, the Black Stars will then head-out to Morocco to face Niger at the Berkane Municipal Stadium on September 9.
