Under-pressure Ghana coach, Otto Addo says his side is aware of the magnitude of their must-win clash against Sudan on Thursday in the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier at the Accra Sports Stadium.
With just a point from two games, the pressure is mounting on the head of Otto Addo and his charges to turn things around after a shambolic start to the qualifiers, which has pinned the team in third in Group F.
“We have good footballers, better footballers than them, so we have to win this game,” Addo confidently said last Friday, stressing the quality of his players as he announced his selection for the two-leg qualifier.
Despite his solid belief in the standard of his players, Addo is not underestimating Sudan, especially with experienced Ghanaian gaffer James Kwesi Appiah now at the helm of the Nile Crocodiles.
“We are very much aware of their ability and strength, but we have to put everything aside and just give our all,” he reiterated.
