Ghana's woes deepen after succumbing to a painful 2-0 defeat to Sudan at the Martyrs of February Stadium in match-day four of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.

Coach Otto Addo made only a change from the team that started the last game with Inaki Williams coming in as replacement for Jordan Ayew.

The Black Stars didn't really start the game well but nearly scored in the third minute after Gideon Mensah was spotted at far post but his effort was blocked.

Abo Eisa was played through with a good pass on the left and curled into the bottom corner but was tipped off to a wasted corner kick..

Back from recess, Ghana found the back of the net through Inaki Williams but the goal was subsequently ruled out for an offside.

In the 52nd minute, the Sudanese came so close to breaking the deadlock but Abo Eisa couldn't tap in at a close range despite a wide stretch.

The Falcons of Jediane finally broke the deadlock in the 62nd minute through Ahmed Hamed Mahmoud who nipped on a huge clanger from the Ghanaian defense to score.

Just three minutes later, Mohammed Abdelrahman made a daring run above Mohammed Salisu to struck into the net to double the lead for the Sudanese.

It finished 2-0 after full time. Sudan have now built up their points to seven on the Group F log whiles Ghana only two.
