Sudan national team head coach, James Kwesi Appiah has reacted to the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations draw that was held last night in Rabat, capital of host nation Morocco.

The Falcons of Jediane after the draw found themselves in a very tricky Group E alongside 2019 champions Algeria, Burkina Faso and Equatorial Guinea.

Many believe the Sudanese are the underdogs in the group but coach Kwesi Appiah disagrees as he strongly sees qualification very possible for his side but admitted it will be a tough one.

He further stated the main aim of all twenty-four qualified countries is to win the trophy so as Sudan who will come all out to search for their second glory as far as the AFCON is concern. He told Akoma FM in Kumasi;

"Sudan, we are group in Group B, and all the teams there are really good. For me, for you to participate a in competition, then your aim should be going out there to win the cup. 

"If you're afraid of any team, then why are you participating in the competition in the first place? I believe that, Sudan will perform very well and I'm hopeful that any team that we meet, we will try our best to get a victory."

The 2025 Africa Cup of Nations will be held in Morocco from December 21, 2025 to January 18, 2026.
