Ghana head coach Otto Addo has emphasized the need for total focus and perfection ahead of the Black Stars’ crucial 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Madagascar tonight.

The Group I leaders will take on the Barea at the Al Hoceima Grand Stadium in Morocco, looking to build on their dominant 5-0 victory over Chad last Friday in Accra.

Speaking ahead of the match, Addo acknowledged the significance of the fixture, stressing that his players must give their all to strengthen their qualification bid.

"I think the most important thing is that I know everybody's excited, everybody was happy about our last win, but we still have a long way to go, and we need everyone to be on their toes," the 49-year-old told GFA media.

"We don't need 98 per cent, we don't need 99 per cent, we need 100 per cent. This is like a small final, and if we win this game, then we are really going to qualify, but it's going to be very, very tough," he added.

Kickoff is scheduled for 19:00 GMT.

Ghana currently sit atop Group I with 12 points and will be aiming for a victory to maintain their lead as they push for a fifth FIFA World Cup appearance in the USA, Canada, and Mexico.
