The evergreen budding star of Cameroonian heritage has inked his first official deal with the Belgian second division club having teamed up with them at age 10

Belgian-born Cameroonian teen Fadil N'dam has signed his first professional contract with Challenger Pro League side K Beerschot VA, the club have confirmed.

The promising wonderkid, who joined the Academy ranks of De Kielse Ratten in 2021, has now been handed his first fresh terms as a future prospect at the Olympisch Stadion after turning 15.

A statement over the first PRO contract of the defender reads: ''Beerschot took an important step today in the further development of its youth academy. On his 15th birthday, Fadil N'dam signed his first professional contract with the club.

''The Belgian central defender, who has been part of the Beerschot academy since 2021, has followed a remarkable trajectory since then. Fadil joined the club at the age of 10 and rapidly developed into a key player within his age group.

''Although he is officially eligible to play for the U15s, he currently plays a key role with the U16s, where he also wears the captain's armband. In addition, he trains with the U18s twice a week, which underscores his strong progress.

''For next season, the bar is set higher again. The plan is for Fadil to further establish himself with the U18s and simultaneously make the step up to the U21s — and that at the tender age of 15.''

Academy Manager Davy De Smedt has said of the rising star to his club's official website: ''We are immensely proud to sign a boy like Fadil to our club. The fact that he can sign his first professional contract on the day of his 15th birthday demonstrates the confidence we have in Fadil and his entourage. His work ethic is an example for all youth players, and we are highlighting that in this way. Hard work is rewarded here."
