Otto Addo, head coach of Ghana's Black Stars believes the team needs to show 'consistency' in their 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier against Sudan to ensure they turn around their poor run of form.

Ghana have not won in the three games of the AFCON qualifiers, which has thrown Otto Addo's chances of making the tournament an incalculable situation.

The Black Stars has played 10 games this year but has only picked up three wins in that period while they have suffered three defeats as well.

According to coach Otto Addo, the Black Stars have struggled due to disparities and his attackers inability to score goals.

"I think we showed in the last game we don’t have to look too much back. In terms of passion and willingness to win, it was there, but the last thing missing was to score goals," Addo said.

"The boys are mentally ready. This is the only thing missing. We have to score goals and believe in ourselves. It's very important."

He, however, believes that stability is needed to complete the quality of the team.

"If this belief comes, goals will come. We just surely have to show consistency. Especially with the national team, there is no time. At the end, it’s all about success, and it’s all about winning, and we have to show it."

The second leg encounter between Sudan and Ghana will be played in Libya on today (Tuesday), October 15, with Kickoff at 13:00GMT.
