Despite failing to secure their 2025 AFCON ticket and Group F second spot in the last round of qualifying matches, the Black Stars will go all out for victory against Niger on Monday (today), says head coach Otto Addo.

Ghana drew 1-1 with Angola last Friday which made them to forfeit qualification to the prestigious continental showpiece, meaning Addo's men have nothing but shame to play for against Niger – with both side's vying to end the qualifying campaign on third spot.

For Addo, the Niger game is important to nourish the team’s momentum even ahead of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers which resume in March 2025.

“We are looking forward to tomorrow {to beat Niger}, not to end up as last,” Addo said at the pre-match interview on Sunday.

"We want to beat them {Niger} for our honor and for third place," he added.

The match is slated to come-off at 16:00 GMT (4:00 pm).
