Asante Kotoko will kickstart their 2022/23 CAF Champions League campaign this mid-afternoon as they play as guests to Burkinabé champions RC Kadiogo in the 1st leg of the first preliminary round.
The game had to be moved out of Burkina Faso due to poor state of venues and was shifted to Cote D'Ivoire, but the Stadium in Yamoussoukro wasn't also ready and was subsequently scheduled to take place in Cotonou, Benin.
The Ghanaian conquerors have been in a serious preparations towards this game, including holding a preseason training tour in Sudan and engaged in some couple of international friendly matches.
They lost twice to Sudan champions Al Hilal Omdurman, fell to Simba SC and finally earned a draw against Al Ahli Khartoum.
The Porcupine Warriors arrived in Benin couple of days ago and have already trained on the match venue as they to look to acclimatize quickly for the epic clash coming up.

Key figures like Mudasiru Salifu, Imoro Ibrahim, Fabio Gama, former skipper Abdul Ganiyu Ismail, have all left the team.
Last season top scorer and marksman, Franck Etouga Mbella couldn't make the trip due to injury and is set to be replaced by newly-signed Ugandan forward Steven Mukwala.
Also, Stephen Amankona, Augustine Agyapong, Rocky Dwamena and Ivorian import Serge Eric Zeze were all left out of the travelling squad.
