Asante Kotoko are set to host Moroccan giants Wydad Athletic at their favorite Baba Yara Stadium in the final qualifying round of the 2025/26 CAF Confederation Cup.
The Porcupine Warriors book their spot to the next qualifying round after edging out Nigerian fold Kwara United with a 5-3 on aggregate victory.
The Reds won the first leg by 4-3 in Accra - throwing a huge doubt around their qualification chances but achieved the back to back with another narrow 1-0 win in the return encounter in Abeokuta.
However, the pleasant news surfacing are that Asante Kotoko will be able to host the Moroccan giants at the Baba Yara Stadium, even though there hasn’t been any confirmation from the club or the National Sports Authority.
Getting the approval will be a big boost for Asante Kotoko who unlike the first round will now have the opportunity to play on their favorite grounds and in front of their supporters.
The first leg is slated for October 19, while the return encounter is set for October 25.
