Samuel Adom Antwi of Rivers United is eagerly anticipating the upcoming second group match in the 2023/24 CAF Confederations Cup against Dreams FC.

The match is scheduled to take place at the Kumasi Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Sunday, December 3, 2023.

Having previously faced Dreams FC, including a loss in the MTN FA Cup final with King Faisal last season, Antwi expressed his excitement about confronting a familiar opponent. He conveyed confidence in the team's positive atmosphere, attributing his smooth adaptation to the support of Ghanaians within the club.

Antwi shared, “The atmosphere in camp is very positive. I've met Ghanaians in the club who have made my adaptation very easy.”

Having played against Dreams FC before, Antwi is determined to secure a victory in Ghana, emphasizing the team's winning mentality. He added, “I’ve played against them and know them. We are coming to win in Ghana because that’s our mentality. I will be hoping to score in Ghana and seal it with a victory.”

Despite still being a player for King Faisal, Antwi made a move to Rivers United during the transfer window preceding the 2023/24 season.

The 23-year-old secured a one-year loan deal with the Port Harcourt-based club and has already played a significant role, netting a goal in his debut for the club in the CAF competition.
