Ampem Darkoa Ladies coach, Joe Nana Adarkwa has admitted the game against Sporting Club Casablanca won't be an easy one hence is expecting a very tough encounter tonight.
The Ghanaian champions will face the Moroccan side this evening in San Pedro in the semi final stage of the CAF Women's Champions League.
The 'Nana Mma' outfit redeemed themselves from the shocking loss last night to destroy Equatorial Guinean champions Huricanes by 3-1 to finish as winners of Group B over reigning champions ASFAR.
The Casablanca-based side after a draw and a defeat in their opening two matches, put up a spirited performance in their last group game to marmalize Tanzanian champions JKT Queens by an emphatic 4-1 to cruise into the last four.
Speaking ahead of the game, Joe Adarkwa- who has been nominated for best coach of the year in the 2023 CAF Awards, knows it will be a very crunchy hurdle but he is however, very optimistic of qualification.
"This game will be tougher than the first group game. they know that we have beaten one of their top sides, AS FAR. When they are coming into the game, they will know that we are not minnows. We are a very good side so they will do all their best," he said at a press conference.
"We are not going to sit down and say we have beaten AS FAR so we can get them easily, it is not going to work like that."
In the other semi final, it will be the clash of the champions and the repeat of last year's final between Mamelodi Sundowns and ASFAR.
All two semi final matches are scheduled to take place on Wednesday, November 15, 2023 in Korhogo and San Pedro respectively.
